Yolteotl: School for Applied Consciousness and Modern Shamanic Studies, is for serious practitioners who are interested in truly moving the needle of human consciousness, starting with their own.
Here we are concerned with expanding perception beyond the ordinary human realm in a cohesive, disciplined and focused way AND also directly applying it in our daily human lives. We work with the shamanic tools and teachings that make sense within this time we are living in.
Diving into this line of study will remake you as a human, it will call you to your greatness, it will give you the capacity to perceive beyond what you can even begin to imagine. There is so much more than the ordinary.

Why the name Yolteotl?
The word Yolteotl comes from the Nahuatl language and basically translates into English as the heart of the cosmos. The primary practices within Yolteotl focus on the teachings of a specific ancient Mexican lineage most famously written about by Carlos Castaneda, Florinda Donner-Grau and Taisha Abelar. Yolteotl as the name of the school is an energetic anchor into the heart of these practices, the under current of generations of serious practitioners and the wisdom into something far more vast than any singular individual.

We have a few simple doors you can walk through.
BOOK: Transmission: An Anthology on Consciousness, Dreaming and Heart. This book was co-authored by Teo Alfero and the current Yolteotl staff.
ONLINE: We have a digital community space in which we offer monthly free Fireside Conversations and you can connect with the community and ask questions about your spiritual journey. You can find the schedule for those here in our free Mighty Network.
TRAINING: We have a series of trainings for those who want to dive into these practices. Our entry point is a four month course called The Threshold. From there, trainings progressively advance to the level of training to be a Yolteotl staff member.
CONSULTING: Yolteotl offers corporate and group experiences that can be curated to your group’s needs.
PRIVATE RETREATS: We offer private and invitation based retreats for those whose decisions impact many. In particular those who may need a group of consciousness practitioners in their corner as they make big decisions that could sway the path of humanity greatly.
INDIVIDUAL WORK: 3 We offer a range of options for individual work from 3 calls packages with staff members to year long engagements with Teo.
Dive in
The School for Applied Consciousness has several levels of study. We start at The Threshold.
The Threshold is our initiatory course where we go deep into the base level practice for all this work. We teach you to truly see and know yourself: your habits, your ways of operating in the world, and your gifts. And through that practice of knowing yourself, you build an energetic capacity.

Advancing your Study
For those who complete a Threshold, or two, and want to keep diving in, we offer a series of courses.
The Advanced Training:
For graduates of The Threshold who would like to explore their agency to navigate other realms and truly up level their leadership.
The Masters Continuum:
For graduates of The Advanced Training, this course is two years of training that includes collaborating to create an event. Graduates of this course may be invited to teach, consult and assist as school faculty.
The PhD:
Graduates of The Masters Continuum may apply for this three year training. Within this course, each student chooses a specialization and takes their study beyond the training of the school. Some examples of specialization include: Indigenous Studies, Neurodivergence and Shamanism, Spell Casting and Storytelling.
